Fundación Amigos de Cabo Blanco
In 2007 the Foundation Amigos de Cabo Blanco(FUNDACABO), was created. It's a local, non profit, apolitical organization,which is committed to the long-term management, protection and conservation of the Cabo Blanco Absolute Natural Reserve.
Members are, amongst others, people who are or have been related to the work of the Reserve, for example; officials, volunteers or representatives of the area.
The management of FUNDACABO has established alliances and channels of cooperation to support issues of environmental education, local, national and international volunteer work , conservation, protection, investigation and in general the operation and workings of the Reserve. So far this organization has promoted and improved the management of resources such as fuel, repair of vehicles, maintenance and improvement of facilities. With regards to the environmental education, there is an agreement with the Swedish Association Amigos de Cabo Blanco that supports the developement and environmental education of Cabo Blanco with, for example donations and different projects.
